KARL BERGER

Karl does a little bit of everything. Growing up in rural Maine, he began working in construction as a teenager. After finishing a Bachelor of Arts at Lewis & Clark with a focus in Sculpture, Karl returned to Maine to attend the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship to study traditional furniture making. He has worked in residential and commercial construction, stone masonry, custom carpentry, commercial fabrication & installation before founding Awl & Ash Woodworking in Portland, Oregon in 2020.
